[REVIEW INDONESIA] Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash & Mask

Hello readers,

Aku yakin kalian udah familiar dengan brand ini deh pasti, secara Himalaya udah eksis lama banget hampir 90 tahun! Himalaya, brand yang berdiri tahun 1930 ini asal muasalnya dari India, dan gak cuma buat produk skincare tapi obat-obatan, perawatan bayi juga ada lho dengan pendekatan bahan herbal.

Nah kali ini aku mau cobain Himalaya Neem Series yang terdiri dari Neem Purifying Face dan Neem Purifying Mask yang cocok untuk kulit berjerawat. Acne fighters, kedua produk ini diformulasi dengan kandungan Mimba (Neem) dan Kunyit yang dikenal efektif untuk membantu melawan bakteri penyebab timbulnya jerawat dan membantu merawat kesehatan kulit.

Sebetulnya apa sih bagusnya Mimba dan Kunyit itu?

Sebelum masuk ke pembahasan masing-masing performa produk, karena keduanya mengandung kandungan ini. Aku bahas dulu ya.

Mimba atau dikenal dengan sebutan Neem, punya kemampuan:

- Anti inflamasi

- Antibakterial untuk melawan bakteri penyebab jerawat

- Sebagai astrigent, membantu mengecilkan pori-pori

- Membantu membersihkan kulit

Dari beberapa sumber lain yang ku baca juga Neem kaya akan antioksidan dan dapat menangkan radikal bebas. Neem ini bahan yang emang dari India, pas banget dengan asal muasal brand Himalaya. Singkatnya, Neem punya kemampuan untuk menenangkan kulit, berperan sebagai anti-inflamasi, dan membersihkan kulit makanya bisa ditargetkan kepada kulit berjerawat.

Sedangkan untuk Kunyit (Turmeric), juga memiliki kemampuan untuk menenangkan kulit, mengurangi kemerahan karena jerawat, mencerahkan, memperbaiki tekstur kulit dan mengandung antioksidan. Karena kemampuan ini di beberapa sumber juga mengatakan bahan kunyit bisa membantu menenangkan kulit berjerawat dan psoriasis.

Dari penjelasan 2 kandungan utama pada produk Himalaya Neem Series, bisa dikatakan memang fokus produk ini benar-benar untuk kalian yang lagi struggle sama jerawat nih! 

Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash

Dikemas dalam kemasan tube plastik dengan tutup flip top, ukuran face wash ini cukup besar. Teksturnya gel berwarna hijau dan memiliki wangi khas yang segar. Untuk teksturnya sendiri  seperti gel, agak kental. Cukup ambil sedikit gel di tangan lalu gosokan dengan air dan akan timbul busa.

Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash ini ditujukan untuk membersihkan kotoran dan menghilangkan minyak berlebih pada wajah,  yang aku suka setelah mencuci muka terasa segar dan gak kering meski ada sedikiiiiiit banget rasa kesat. Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash ini sangat aman untuk digunakan setiap hari, pagi dan malam.

 

Himalaya Purifying Neem Mask

Punya bentuk kemasan yang hampir serupa dengan face wash, dengan tube plastik dan tutup flip top. Teksturnya lebih padat dan oleh karena itu tidak mudah keluar sendiri jika tidak ditekan. Wanginya bisa ku katakan berbeda dengan versi face washnya, tapi kalau aku sih lebih suka wangi face washnya. Ini apa ya wanginya cukup kencang kaya bedak bayi sekilas hehe.

Masker ini berwarna hijau tua, teksturnya agak gritty tapi masih cukup smooth untuk diratakan pada wajah, cara pemakaian juga mudah tinggal diamkan selama 10-15 menit sebelum bilas. Ketika dibersihkan juga cukup mudah, terasa segar, dan gak ada residu. Tapi ketika pemakaian agak sedikit tingling gatal gitu nih untuk area hidung, keterangannya sih normal yah selama gak mengganggu banget lanjutin aja lama-lama berkurang kok.

Himalaya Purifying Neem Mask membantu mengatur produksi sebum dengan memberikan efek pembersihan hingga ke dalam pori. Nah sehubungan dengan ini wash-off mask yang bertekstur clay, kalian bisa gunakan 1-2 kali saja seminggu atau sesuai kebutuhan.

Bakuchiol? Apaan tuh?

Bakuchiol mungkin baru belakangan ini lebih terdengar namanya di kalangan produk skincare oleh karena disebut-sebut sebagai alternatif retinol. Siapa sih yang gak tau retinol dengan efek dahsyatnya namun di samping itu juga, resikonya? Biasanya untuk yang belum pernah pakai retinol, percobaan pertama ngeri-ngeri sedap, nah bakuchiol ini versi "mild" untuk yang cari efek mirip dengan retinol tapi less irritating. Tapi perlu di note kalau ekspektasinya gak benar-benar 11-12 dengan retinol yah!

Mia Glansie adalah brand lokal yang mengeluarkan produk skincare dengan kandungan Bakuchiol (aku belum explore lagi sih, apakah ada brand lokal lain juga punya produk dengan Bakuchiol? Let me know di kolom komen yah!). Jeju Green Tea Acne Prone Serum, begitulah namanya, hadir dengan kandungan yang di highlight antara lain: Jeju Greentea, Salicylic Acid, Bakuchiol, Niacinamide, Candida Bombicola, Mulberry Extract, Rice Oil, dan Aloe Vera.

Secara kemasan, serum ini cukup kecil karena isinya cuma 25 ml namun bentuknya yang pipih cukup oke ga makan space terlalu banyak, lalu karena ini airless pump akan terlihat produknya kalau semakin sedikit. Pencetan pumpnya sendiri agak keras, jadi pas ditekan harus ada tenaga hahaha.

Nah kalian sudah lihat foto teksturnya kan? Bentuk serumnya agak kental namun ringan dan mudah diratakan pada kulit, untuk pemakaian siang hari pun ga berasa pliket, hanya yang aku ga tahan adalah baunya. Baunya cukup kencang dan agak ninggal menurutku, meskipun pakainya dikit tapi bau khasnya tetep kemana-mana. Meskipun punya kandungan acid dan bakuchiol, serum ini ga terasa mengeringkan lho, malah tergolong masih "lembab" di kulit. 

Aku sempat nyoba sebagai spot treatment untuk area jerawat aktif, buatku ini dia prosesnya tergantung jenis jerawatnya ya, kalau di kulitku tipikal yang kecil-kecil kaya komedo akan cepat jadi bermata (whitehtead) tapi kalau yang agak besar merah sakit itu prosesnya agak lama. Tapi di aku sendiri it's like a love-hate relationship, kalau untuk pemakaian full satu wajah jujur ga tahan sama jerawat barunya - ini bukan purging karena tipenya beda yah, kalau as a spot treatment aku ga masalah, well balik lagi skincare memang cocok-cocokan sih hehe. Ohya, karena sifatnya mempercepat turnover cycle, meskipun mild hati-hati purging ya! Silahkan diteliti lebih jauh apakah purging atau memang kulit kalian kurang cocok dengan produk ini, tetap jangan lupa untuk test patch terlebih dahulu ya.

[Review] Mila D'opiz Ampoule (Vitamin C, Purifying, Calm and Nourish)

Hello! It's May already!

Time flies so fast, isn't it? It's also been two years since I started to learn about skin care and keep discovering interesting products for my skin needs until now. I know it's not an easy journey, having a good and bad time where my acne kinda acting up sometimes make me tired and frustrated. But I know I won't learn anything if I don't do the trial and error, even though some times I'm questioning myself whether to continue this "trial and error" process or just go straight to the doctor hahaha (well, it's also not an easy decision.)

This time, I decided to try another ampoule for my acne. I know my skin likes minimal skincare routine, the basic step will never fail me, but my friends who have tried these ampoules are saying that it works for their acne and pigmentation, which makes me curious about these Mila D'opiz ampoules. Fortunately I am given the chance to try the ampoules (Vitamin C - which the one I am so curious about as it can helps the cystic acne, Purifying - suitable for small acne and whiteheads, Calm & Nourish - to calm the skin redness). So here's my thought after using them for about 6 weeks.

• Mila D'opiz Vitamin C Ampoule

A concentrated ampoule packed with Sodium Ascorbyl Phospate or known as Vitamin C to help brighten the complexion, moisturise the skin, and help the regeneration process. 

I already heard so many positive feedbacks about this tiny ampoule especially the Vitamin C. Some of my friends think this ampoule is not only great for fading the acne pigmentation but also the cystic acne!

The ampoule, as you can see, packed in a small glass bottle. But if you see an ampoule this small it also means that this is a concentrated one and often works better than usual ampoule. This yellow-orangish comes in a watery form that makes it easier to spread and it feels light on skin. It has a fairly scent to it. This ampoule has two highlighted ingredients; Vitamin C for brightening and stimulate cell regeneration and Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) to moisturise skin.

I only need a drop as spot treatment and two drops for wider area (cheeks, chin). I tried to use as a spot treatment for my cystic at first, after it gave a good effect, I use it too for my pigmentation on cheeks and it also works great. Why do I agree that this ampoule is great? I notice my cystic flatten and the pain is reduced and it heals that fast. Literally, amazing. On the other hand, my pigmentation starts to fade (but for the pigmentation, I also use other products and regimen to help fasten the process). My only wish is it comes in bigger size but still in the same price or lower hahaha😆

• Mila D'opiz Purifying Ampoule

A concentrated ampoule to help normalizes sebum production, reduces inflammation, controls bacterial growth and works against blackheads.

This green tiny ampoule, as you can see, packed in a small glass bottle. The texture is watery with a strong scent, combination of alcohol and perfume (I do think this scent is strong to my liking, but YMMV). The ingredients highlight in this ampoule, taken by www.miladopizindonesia.com, A.C Net Complex to control sebum production and Sebaoclear as anti-bacterial to treat inflammation and irritation.

I was told this ampoule works well for the small acne but it maybe drying for some people so I do try spot treatment first and boost my hydration to make sure it doesn't dry out my skin. Fortunately, my skin accepts it and it helps my combination skin stay in control. I also try layering with the vitamin C ampoule and it delivers better result.

• Mila D'opiz Calm & Nourish Ampoule

A concentrated ampoule to soothe and nourish the skin, promotes regeneration, and moisturize. Its texture also makes it ideal for long massages.

The Nourish and Calm ampoule has thicker texture compare to the other two. It is also more sticky and the finishing is a bit oily, but if you want to have that glow this surely your partner! Although it feels oily (because it contains several types of oils), it absorbs pretty fast and I am sure you glowskin-seeker will like this. It does feel moisturizing and I agree it feels great for massaging. It also smells good kinda reminds me of Huxley but still tolerable.

Squalane, Macadamia Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, those ingredients are good in moisturizing the skin and they are rich of fatty acids (you can google it for more details). I find the ampoule is pretty oily to use during daytime, in my opinion this is more suitable for night. I some times only use the ampoule itself after toner without sealing it with moisturizer and it still enough, or I use it as a spot treatment to calm my acne because it helps calming the redness.

Tips: if you are redness-prone yet you're afraid this ampoule is too oily for you, use it as a spot treatment. Use a tiny amount of it and massage it so gently around the redness, leave it overnight and the next morning you'll see the result!

[REVIEW INDONESIA] Lacoco Aloe Vera Soothing Mist

Kali ini saya mau bahas produk kedua dari salah satu brand lokal, Lacoco en Nature. Lacoco ini merupakan brand dari Yogyakarta. Sebelum saya akhirnya nyobain produk dibawah ini, saya sudah dengar beberapa teman saya ngomongin merk ini dan yang terkenal adalah si Watermelon Glow Masknya. Namun setelah ngobrol dengan Kak Nada dari tim Lacoco, Kak Nada menyarankan kedua produk ini, apalagi si Aloe Vera Soothing Mist cocok untuk kulit berjerawat seperti saya. Lacoco Aloe Vera Soothing Mist

Aloe Vera Soothing Mist merupakan perawatan wajah yang serbaguna. Dapat digunakan untuk membersihkan wajah di pagi hari maupun malam hari, dapat juga membersihkan sisa makeup pada wajah. Aloe Vera Soothing Mist juga dapat digunakan sebagai toner, eksfoliator, sekaligus pelembap yang digunakan sehabis mencuci muka. Cara pakai?

Sebagai toner dan alas makeup; Arahkan botol 10-15 cm dari wajah, semprotkan pada wajah yang bersih dan kering. Untuk hasil maksimal gunakan LACOCO Hydrating Divine Essence setelahnya.  

Sebagai pembersih; semprotkan pada kapas dan usap perlahan pada wajah ke arah atas sebelum mencuci muka.  

Sebagai penyegar: Arahkan botol 10-15 cm dari wajah, dan semprotkan pada wajah saat dibutuhkan.  

Dari segi packaging, hampir mirip dengan Lacoco Hydrating Divine Essence, bedanya kali ini mist dikemas dalam botol bening sehingga dapat terlihat produk sudah habis berapa banyak sedangkan Lacoco Hydrating Divine Essence kemasannya benar-benar tertutup jadi tidak ketahuan sudah sejauh mana produk dipakai. Mist ini juga memiliki pump yang bedanya adalah punya daya semprot yang cukup kuat (lihat foto) tapi menurut saya arah semprotan mist ini agak sedikit menghadap bawah sehingga sudut semprot saya sering kali meleset. Botol mist ini tidak berat dan penampakannya ramping sehingga memungkinkan dibawa kemana-mana. Saya suka banget sih dengan mist ini dan menurut saya this is my go-to facial mist to instant hydrate and cool my skin down.

Ets, tapi sebetulnya mist ini multifungsi lho. Bisa jadi pilihan quick fix untuk makeup remover dan juga karena mengandung aloe vera, mist ini termasuk makeup remover yang gentle. Tips saya, kalau ingin reapply sunscreen/makeup, bisa hapus dengan mengusap kapas yang disemprot mist ini lalu kemudian bilas dengan air, tinggal direapply deh! Simple kan?
Selain itu saya suka pakai mist ini untuk menghapus minyak dan kotoran yang menempel, apabila saya berada di rumah seharian tidak menutup kemungkinan muka saya bebas debu kan? Nah contohnya seperti foto dibawah ini.

Berhubung isinya yang hanya 100 ml, jujur ini saya sayang-sayang pakainya. Tapi sudah disayang-sayang aja sudah tinggal setengah dong :') Saya suka banget dengan mist ini, efek coolingnya dapet kalau lagi cuaca panas, terus juga untuk instant hydration ini bisa jadi pilihan dan karena bentuknya spray sangat nyaman digunakan!! Saya sudah pakai selama hampir sebulan, jujur saja tapi di minggu kedua pemakaian saya sudah ga bisa lepas dari mist ini, iya seenak itu buat kulit saya. Sengaja untuk mist ini saya tidak buat first impressionnya dulu, karena umumnya mist memang untuk instant cooling. Setelah saya pakai secara rutin, saya merasa kulit saya terhidrasi dan karena kebetulan toner saya yang biasanya habis, saya pakai mist ini sebagai hydrating toner saya. Mungkin karena saya juga memakai skincare products lainnya yang untuk menghidrasi dan melembabkan, saya merasa Lacoco Aloe Vera Mist ini sudah cukup bagi kulit kombinasi saya. Tidak hanya itu, kadang saya juga menggunakan mist ini setelah makeup sebagai refresher/ setting spray. Kelebihannya, mist ini diklaim dapat mengurangi jerawat, saya tidak tahu apa memang berefek begitu di saya, tapi selama pemakaian memang tidak ada reaksi negatif apa-apa, tidak membuat adanya tumbuh jerawat baru atau memperparah jerawat saya. Kekurangannya, saya merasa harganya agak mahal untuk ukuran 100 ml. Kesimpulannya, saya sangat senang dengan produk ini dan kalian boleh cek yuk produk Lacoco lainnya juga!

Bahas Jerawat bersama Dewi Kauw (Owner @skindewi)

Hai semuanya, 

Berhubung hasil polling kemarin di Instagram ternyata lebih banyak yang ingin aku sharing pembahasan mengenai jerawatku di blog post aja, jadilah hari ini aku buat post khusus bahas detail tentang jerawatku dan informasi serta tips - tips dari Ci Dewi. Buat yang belum familiar, Ci Dewi ini merupakan owner sekaligus pembuat produk skincare organik di Indonesia dengan nama Skin Dewi, bangga banget ya dengan perkembangan produk lokal. Nah awalnya gimana sih kok akhirnya aku bisa bahas jerawat dengan Ci Dewi?

Ci Dewi bilang goal dari campaign ini untuk empower 1 million people to heal themselves from acne, karena kuncinya ya mereka yang menyembuhkan diri mereka sendiri karena ga ada obat ajaib diluar sana, dan juga butuh waktu dan usaha tapi pada akhirnya bisa dilakukan. Ci Dewi juga telah membantu beberapa orang dalam prosesnya dan kuncinya yaitu mencari tahu dulu apa penyebab jerawatnya, lalu baru dikerjakan gimana caranya (beberapa orang kasusnya ternyata dari pencernaan, hormon, stress, dan lain sebagainya). Ci Dewi ini percaya bahwa masalah kulit bisa membaik dengan dipengaruhi oleh 80% secara internal 20% dari produk skincare.

Sebetulnya apa sih penyebab jerawatku ini?
Berbagai macam faktor. Tapi mungkin yang kelihatan adalah hormon yang kurang seimbang dan pencernaan (Aku baru tau kalau mungkin ada masalah pencernaan berdasarkan ci Dewi, kalau hormon memang dari dulu aku tau masalahku tentang hormon ini dimana akhirnya jerawat selalu datang dan pergi). Lalu aku juga sadar betul, beberapa kali secara berturut - turut tidur malam, bisa muncul jerawat juga -> Dan untuk hal ini Ci Dewi menyarankan untuk boost liver health. Ci Dewi juga sempat tanya apa pola makanku cenderung berminyak atau tidak seperti gorengan? Dan aku bilang iya, Ci Dewi bilang rasanya badanku kurang bisa metabolize "lemak"nya karena kelihatan dari pori - pori, dan juga Ci Dewi tanya apakah aku minum air cukup atau tidak, karena kelihatan quite a bit congestion di kulitku. Selain itu aku juga bilang ada clogged pores di daerah dagu dan Ci Dewi bilang bagian dagu adalah hormonal, berarti hormonku belum seimbang, masalahnya aku harus cari tahu hormon apa yang kelebihan atau kekurangan baru kemudian bisa dinormalisasi, juga balik lagi ke liver health karena liver yang sehat bisa bantu kontrol hormon (balik lagi mungkin liverku kurang sehat, salah satu indikasinya adalah dengan kurang tidur aja bisa timbul jerawat). Untuk jerawat pada daerah pipi, menurut Ci Dewi biasanya adanya food sensitivity dengan itu bisa diketahui pasti dengan tes IGG, dari situ nanti kelihatan makanan apa yang bermasalah dan coba dihindari selama 3 bulan baru pelan - pelan dikenali lagi, minum enzymes dan probiotik juga membantu. Coba 3 bulan dulu seharusnya terlihat perbedaannya, begitu kata Ci Dewi.

Apa saran Ci Dewi mengenai kondisi jerawatku?
Ci Dewi pertama bilang sepertinya aku boleh mulai untuk minum daily probiotic ketika pagi perut kosong dan juga enzymes sebelum makan untuk bantu digestion. Lalu untuk boost liver bisa dengan minum temulawak atau jamu untuk liver. Untuk lemaknya bisa dengan black tea/ teh hitam untuk bantu "cuci lemak" setelah makan gorengan. Sedangkan untuk produk skincare lanjutin aja tapi jangan dengan banyak step (kebetulan memang kulitku suka minimal routine), soalnya kata Ci Dewi pori - pori aku sudah tersumbat, takutnya kalau pakai banyak produk malah semakin tersumbat, yang penting step cleansing sudah benar, toning, dan light moisturizer sudah cukup. Ci Dewi juga menyarankan untuk perbanyak makan cruciferous vegetables.

Aku sempat tanya juga mengenai air lemon yang diminum pagi hari saat perut kosong, Ci Dewi bilang ini boleh juga bantu untuk alkalized.
Metode air lemon yang disarankan:
- Siapkan botol minum supaya bisa kontrol berapa banyaknya yang diminum
- Sehari minum 1 butir lemon - pagi hari squeeze 1/2 lemon dalam 1 botol air (cari botol 1L gitu) dan sisa lemonnya cemplungin sekalian. Sebaiknya air ini dihabiskan sebelum jam makan siang, jadi minum sedikit - sedikit tapi sering.
- Ketika jam makan siang airnya habis, refill botol 1L lagi dan squeeze the remaining 1/2 lemon yang tadi masih ada. Harus habis lagi airnya sebelum makan malam.
- Setelah makan malam sampai jam tidur, coba untuk minum 500 ml sampai 1L lagi.

Oh ya, aku juga ada sakit maag dimana oleh karena itu bagus untuk konsumsi makanan yang alkaline. Contohnya dibawah ini.

Aku sempat tanya, Ci, kalau probiotik seperti yogurt gitu ga cukup ya?
Yogurt is dairy (aku juga rasa sepertinya aku kurang cocok dairy, bisa jerawatan kalau kebanyakan), jadi harus pilih yang non-dairy. Lalu aku tanya, bagaimana dengan yakult? Lebih baik kombucha, kiffer (ini dari kelapa, kalau kefir dari susu kambing -> termasuk dairy juga), kimchi, anything fermented is good. Kalau senang kombucha, sekalian aja beli jamu temulawak.

Lalu gimana nih dengan bekas jerawatku?
Ci Dewi menyarankan boleh juga aku untuk minum Zinc karena zinc bisa bantu healing scar. Kalau tidak mau kebanyakan minum suplemen bisa cari juga vit c yang mengandung zinc sekaligus.

Kesimpulan
Produk memang berpengaruh untuk membuat perubahan, tapi kita perlu mengerti dulu kebutuhan kulit apa dan yang tidak butuh apa, just listen to it. Sekarang coba perbaiki dari dalam dan ketika nanti ada hasil baru dibantu boost dengan produk. Untuk produk, pilih oil cleanser yang bagus dan second cleanser yang mild, lalu pilih produk - produk dengan concern untuk soothe and hydrate the skin dan yang unclogging pores. Jangan terlalu berat ataupun terlalu mengeringkan. Untuk penggunaan makeup cari yang tidak buat clogging dan pastikan cleansing methodnya benar, tapi kalau tidak terlalu butuh makeup lebih baik jangan agar kulit bisa bernapas.

Jadi yang aku lakukan setelah berbincang dengan Ci Dewi yang pertama adalah mengontrol makananku! Aku mulai makan lebih banyak sayur dan cut dairy (ga lagi minum kopi susu, hanya teh dan air putih!), untuk suplemen masih dalam pencarian hehe. Packaging

It comes in this huge tube made of transparent glass. As you can see this is not travel friendly.
If you open the lid, there's a seal underneath so your pads are all safe. The seal is made to keep your pads fresh and still damp with the essence. The product itself smells great when you open the seal. The smell is refreshing.

Product Details
The circle pad is soaked with the essence, it comes with two sides; the rough side which is called "gauze" to exfoliate your skin and the softer side to wipe the excess dirt. There's a pocket for your fingers when you're using the pad, it makes it easy and very convenient to use. You just flip the pad if you want to switch the side. You're supposed to use the rough side first all over your face then wipe it off with the softer side then rinse it off. You should rinse it off before you continue your skincare routine!

Performance
Exfoliation is divided into two; the physical or the chemical. This pad is a physical exfoliation so you may use only 1-2 times a week, because if you use it daily you'll experience the "over-exfoliation" which may caused redness, acne, irritation, etc and some people says physical exfoliation can damage your skin surface that's why it will be good if you only use it 1-2 times a week, I personally use it once a week because I'm using my other exfoliation products. If you are curious about what method will work better for you, I suggest you to read the comparison between those method first and decide later what works for you and of course your skin types. But I would say physical exfoliation is the "basic" exfoliator method to do to take out your dead skin cells, if you are new to skincare or you are afraid of chemical exfoliant.

I can not say you'll get instant result of what the brand promises with this pad but I notice my skin is smoother but don't use it if you have an active acne because physical exfoliator will worsen it. Exfoliator is good to help fading hyperpigmentation too. I'm currently not using any spesific chemical exfoliant beside my cream which contains acid. So this pad and my other exfoliator are the ones I go for if I want to get rid of my dead skin cells. Eventhough the rough side is quite abrasive to my liking, I like how it contains such as Centella Asiatica Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Green Tea or Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, which are good for acne-prone skin as they have soothing and calming properties.

I've tried the Lemon and Wine too, as the comparison I feel like the three of them are kinda similar but I choose Wine over. It wins my heart because of the smell, it smells heavenly like wine or grape juice (imagine of grape juice....). So if you like the physical exfoliator, don't hesitate to try Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Pad, these might be an option for you!

Acne Treatment Essentials

I'm back with another skincare post, but today I'll just make it quick so you called it quick review. This post is all about my acne treatment essentials which I am currently using, some of them are not my holy grail or am-going-to-repurchase products, but I'll just make the review hoping it will be helpful as your references.

First thing first, I bought these products with my own money as people said they're good (well you know I am struggling with acne till now and always curious about acne products hahahah), all reviews are based on my personal experience which are not influenced by the brand. Second, the reaction may differ one another as we have different skin types, conditions, and locations. Third, even though maybe this product was not working on my skin, it doesn't mean it won't work too to you and vice versa or if it works really good on my skin then you notice the product worsen your acne, it doesn't mean I am lying on my reviews saying the product is good. You read it again, the reaction may differ one another as we have different skin types, conditions, and locations.

Okay now let's move on to the quick review.......

1. @tiff_body Loria Acne Lotion

I can say this is the cheapest acne treatment on my acne essentials, it's only Rp 29.000 per bottle.

But to be honest I bought this because there's too many people rave about this product and since it's cheap why don't I try? hahaha. You should shake them well before using, it's kinda similar like the "pink sediment" on Mizon product but you need to mix the sediment if using Loria. It's good for whiteheads too or small bumps.

• Ingredients?
• Aqua, Alcohol, Zinc Oxide, Propylene Glycol, Menthol, Fragrance, Piper Bettle Leaf Oil, Benzoic Acid, Boric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Dipotassiumglycyrrhizinate

• Volume: 30 ml

• How to Use?
• First, clean the acne area surface. Second, shake the bottle. Third, use the cotton swab to dip and place directly to the acne areas.

Thoughts
I would say I don't really like that "alcohol and menthol" sensation to my face, somehow I feel it's very strong and it stings more than Mizon if you put it on the open wound. Although people say alcohol is good for bumps, I will only use this to stubborn bumps or whiteheads if they're still not going after using the other acne products. But the good thing is I don't feel my skin become dry or patchy because of the product (I only put in on the spot).
Rating: 2/5 (I'd save my skin from too much alcohol, I guess this product is not for me)

2. Mizon AC Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot

You know the famous Mario Badescu drying lotion? The concept is kinda similar but I haven't tried the Mario Badescu one so I can't make a comparison between both of them. This product works good with the pink sediment inside (PLEASE NOTE! Don't mix the sediment with the yellow top layer, if it's mixed take some times for the pink sediment settle)

• What it is?
• This concentrated spot solution targets blemish troubles. The top yellow layer is formulated with BHA, AHA, and natural ingredients that help slough away residue, blackheads and dead skin cells, while the pink powder beneath calms inflamed spots. Together, they work to heal and protect the skin from future damage. Great for all skin types especially acne-prone skin. 

• Ingredients?

• How to Use?
• Before bed, wash your face and apply toner. Using a clean cotton swab, dip the tip into the pink sediment of the solution and place a dab of it directly on the blemish. It will dry overnight and come morning, you will rinse with lukewarm water.

Thoughts
I only use this for whiteheads because it helps the "whiteheads" to dry faster but I would say this is not suitable for cystic or non-heads acne hahaha if you're experiencing cystic acne try the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion (review below). This leaves a cast or the pink powder settles really well so I only use it at night except you are okay with those pinky spots all over your face. Once the pink powder settle it will dry and if you touch it will become pink powder. It will sting if you put it on the open wound acne, you'd better be careful!
Rating: 3/5 (I don't think I'll repurchase unless there's no more products like this. I am still curious about the Mario Badescu and if you know ENCA, I think it works better on my skin.)

3. Lion Pair Acne Cream

I would say this is the most gentle acne treatment I've ever tried. It has no scent, no white cast even though the cream itself is white, it doesn't dry out your skin nor worsen it. This is one of my holy grail!! HAHAHAHA

4. Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion
It contains sediment too like the pink powder but this one is white so you need to mix them up before using on the spot.

• What it is?
• This is a lightweight, quick-absorbing spot treatment specifically designed to target large, under-the-surface bumps. Buffering lotion is best suited to oily and combination skin types. Reducing redness and inflammation, 

• Ingredients?
• Isopropyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Zinc Oxide, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Allantoin, Biotin, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Pyridoxine HCL, Propylene Carbonate

• Volume: 29 ml

• How to Use?
• Before bed, wash your face and apply toner. Using a clean cotton swab, dip the tip into the pink sediment of the solution and place a dab of it directly on the blemish. It will dry overnight and come morning, you will rinse with lukewarm water. Only use it on active blemishes. Do not apply anything on top of the Buffering Lotion.

Thoughts

I will use this on my cystic acne since it penetrates deep into your skin and help fasten the process either to make it becomes whitehead or heal it. But I only use it at night just because the "sediment" will only sit on the surface so if you use it during daytime with makeup, it won't look good. This is not my holy grail I can say, it does good job but not as wow as I expected remembering the price is not cheap. This will work on small bumps too but will take longer time on big bumps/severe acne. Ah and last not forget to mention, it has a bit drying effect.
Rating: 3/5 (I think you might go for this if you're experiencing small bumps since the ingredients are good too, but this work so so for me)

How to Use?

1. After washing the face, clear the skin with toner and attach the mask according to the shape of the face. 

2. Rest for 10-20 minutes

3. After taking off the mask, tap the remaining essence lightly to absorb.

REVIEW

I choose to use the Pore Filtering mask first as my skin is combination acne-prone type which means I need an oil-control mask. This pore filtering mask seems promising and I am so excited to try!!

This mask has a sweet scent and it does contain fragrance eventhough it's not strong. The sheet mask itself feels very soft and thin. The fit is almost perfect to my face. It has thick texture essence but the leftover inside the pack is only a little amount. And the adherence is okay.

After putting on for about 20 minutes, I took it off and the mask was still wet. I can still use the mask for my neck and hand. I patted the essence on my face till it became more dry so I can put my moisturizer afterwards. It felt slightly tacky but not annoying. So in my personal experience, the result was great, I can feel my skin hydrated and refreshed! This is great for a quick option to hydrate your skin. Not forget to mention of course my skin looked healthier and brighter. Remember the price is also very very affordable, I'm happy with this mask and recommended this to everyone!❤
