[Review] Mila D'opiz Ampoule (Vitamin C, Purifying, Calm and Nourish)

Hello! It's May already!

Time flies so fast, isn't it? It's also been two years since I started to learn about skin care and keep discovering interesting products for my skin needs until now. I know it's not an easy journey, having a good and bad time where my acne kinda acting up sometimes make me tired and frustrated. But I know I won't learn anything if I don't do the trial and error, even though some times I'm questioning myself whether to continue this "trial and error" process or just go straight to the doctor hahaha (well, it's also not an easy decision.)

This time, I decided to try another ampoule for my acne. I know my skin likes minimal skincare routine, the basic step will never fail me, but my friends who have tried these ampoules are saying that it works for their acne and pigmentation, which makes me curious about these Mila D'opiz ampoules. Fortunately I am given the chance to try the ampoules (Vitamin C - which the one I am so curious about as it can helps the cystic acne, Purifying - suitable for small acne and whiteheads, Calm & Nourish - to calm the skin redness). So here's my thought after using them for about 6 weeks.

  • Mila D'opiz Vitamin C Ampoule

A concentrated ampoule packed with Sodium Ascorbyl Phospate or known as Vitamin C to help brighten the complexion, moisturise the skin, and help the regeneration process.

I already heard so many positive feedbacks about this tiny ampoule especially the Vitamin C. Some of my friends think this ampoule is not only great for fading the acne pigmentation but also the cystic acne!

The ampoule, as you can see, packed in a small glass bottle. But if you see an ampoule this small it also means that this is a concentrated one and often works better than usual ampoule. This yellow-orangish comes in a watery form that makes it easier to spread and it feels light on skin. It has a fairly scent to it. This ampoule has two highlighted ingredients; Vitamin C for brightening and stimulate cell regeneration and Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) to moisturise skin.

I only need a drop as spot treatment and two drops for wider area (cheeks, chin). I tried to use as a spot treatment for my cystic at first, after it gave a good effect, I use it too for my pigmentation on cheeks and it also works great. Why do I agree that this ampoule is great? I notice my cystic flatten and the pain is reduced and it heals that fast. Literally, amazing. On the other hand, my pigmentation starts to fade (but for the pigmentation, I also use other products and regimen to help fasten the process). My only wish is it comes in bigger size but still in the same price or lower hahaha😆

Ingredients?
Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phospate, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid, Xantham Gum, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 14700 (Red 4), Sodium Chloride, Sodium Sulfate

pH: 6.7 - 7.5 (sumber: www.miladopizindonesia.com)

  • Mila D'opiz Purifying Ampoule

A concentrated ampoule to help normalizes sebum production, reduces inflammation, controls bacterial growth and works against blackheads.

This green tiny ampoule, as you can see, packed in a small glass bottle. The texture is watery with a strong scent, combination of alcohol and perfume (I do think this scent is strong to my liking, but YMMV). The ingredients highlight in this ampoule, taken by www.miladopizindonesia.com, A.C Net Complex to control sebum production and Sebaoclear as anti-bacterial to treat inflammation and irritation.

I was told this ampoule works well for the small acne but it maybe drying for some people so I do try spot treatment first and boost my hydration to make sure it doesn't dry out my skin. Fortunately, my skin accepts it and it helps my combination skin stay in control. I also try layering with the vitamin C ampoule and it delivers better result.

Ingredients?
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, PEG-14 Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Methyl Gluceth-10, Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Parfum (Fragrance), Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Salicylate, Sodium Benzotriazolyl Butylphenol Sulfonate, Plantago Lanceolata Leaf Extract, Carbomer, Sodium Citrate, Mahonia Aquifolium Root Extract, Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid, Oleanolic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium Metabisulfite, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 42090, Biotin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Sulfate

pH: 5.0 - 6.0 (sumber: www.miladopizindonesia.com)

  • Mila D'opiz Calm & Nourish Ampoule
A concentrated ampoule to soothe and nourish the skin, promotes regeneration, and moisturize. Its texture also makes it ideal for long massages.

The Nourish and Calm ampoule has thicker texture compare to the other two. It is also more sticky and the finishing is a bit oily, but if you want to have that glow this surely your partner! Although it feels oily (because it contains several types of oils), it absorbs pretty fast and I am sure you glowskin-seeker will like this. It does feel moisturizing and I agree it feels great for massaging. It also smells good kinda reminds me of Huxley but still tolerable.

Squalane, Macadamia Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, those ingredients are good in moisturizing the skin and they are rich of fatty acids (you can google it for more details). I find the ampoule is pretty oily to use during daytime, in my opinion this is more suitable for night. I some times only use the ampoule itself after toner without sealing it with moisturizer and it still enough, or I use it as a spot treatment to calm my acne because it helps calming the redness.
Tips: if you are redness-prone yet you're afraid this ampoule is too oily for you, use it as a spot treatment. Use a tiny amount of it and massage it so gently around the redness, leave it overnight and the next morning you'll see the result!

Ingredients?
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil), Squalane, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Triisodecyl Trimellitate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Octyldodecanol, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance), Retinyl Palmitate, PEG-8, Tocopherol, Aqua (Water), Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract, Ubiquinone, Ceramide 2, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid

Interesting enough? Go get yours through @miladopizjakarta or @hersheladies for Rp 520.000 but THEY ARE ON SALE FOR ONLY Rp 390.000! Such a stealllll omg.

[Review] Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask & Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway

Hello!
Sorry for the hiatus. I've been busy with my job and all those details I need to think of.
Recently, Althea has launched several skincare products that are really interesting and I haven't found it anywhere. I got it from their welcome gift, Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask and Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway. Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask is an exfoliating wash-off mask which bubbles up when touching the skin (it is very interesting, right?) and Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway is a sunscreen with SPF 50+ PA++++ which makes with Damask Rose Extract and Geranium Oil.

I'll start with Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask. The ingredients highlight are the AHA, BHA to exfoliate, Milk Extract to moisturize and strengthen the skin, and Kaolin Clay to detoxify and help pull out impurities from pores.

It is packed in a plastic blue and white pump bottle. I find the pump is somehow doesn't work well to sprit out the mask. In the end, some amount of mask spurt all over my sink hahaha it's a mess.

Besides, the texture is creamy and easily spreadable, it will bubbles up fast once you apply it to your skin but it's okay you need to spread it and massage for a while. Do not leave it too long because it kinda left tight feeling on the skin after being rinsed off.

I like to use it once a week for a quick wash-off mask and in my opinion this type of mask is so convenient to use and it is very suitable for a busy you!

look at its texture

it leaves a clean, tight feeling yet so soft

Overall, I am happy about this product. It does not break me out and leaves the skin feeling soft and clean although I experience some tightness too (I usually put the toner right after wash the mask off and put on moisturizer). Have you tried it too?

Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask

Water (Aqua), Kaolin, Glycerin, Disiloxane, Bentonite, Propanediol, Myristic Acid, Methyl Perfluoroisobutyl Ether, Stearicacid, Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, Potassium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Palmitic Acid , Ethylhexylglycerin, Milk Proteinextract, Disodium Edta, Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen) Leaf Extract, Gluconolactone, Glycolic Acid, Titaniumdioxide (Ci 77891), Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin*, Hexyl Cinnamal*, Citronellol*

- pic from althea web.
I do like the lightweight feeling and no white cast from this sunscreen. It has a nice velvety texture and smells good. I want to like this product but I don't know why it breaks me out :(

DRY VS DEHYDRATED SKIN

DRY VS DEHYDRATED VS COMBINATION

Taken from my IG Story Article @gegeciella

Taken from my IG Story Article @gegeciella

Kulit Kering -> butuh minyak // Kulit Dehidrasi -> butuh air.

Kalian perlu curiga, jangan-jangan malah kulit kalian lagi DEHIDRASI.

Taken from my IG Story Article @gegeciella

*Tapi balik lagi, kalian perlu perhatikan detail, TIDAK SEMUA bruntusan pasti hilang meskipun diboost hidrasinya kalau alasannya bukan karena kulit sedang dehidrasi.

Taken from my IG Story Article @gegeciella

2. Menggunakan produk skincare yang mengandung HUMECTANT
(Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Urea, Amino Acids, Peptides, Hydrolysed Proteins, Proteins - source: labmuffin)
3. Jangan over-exfoliate (BACA HIGHLIGHT: EXFOLIATION) dan setelah pakai produk exfoliating jangan lupa diikuti dengan produk hydrating.
5. Pakai sabun cuci muka yang sifatnya gentle, usahakan menghindari scrub/cleansing brush.

(add source: simpleskincarescience)

Taken from my IG Story Article @gegeciella

"Udah berapa lama memangnya?"
"Baru 3 hari........"

Oke bhaique.

BONUS: CHIZU SAEKI METHOD/CSM

Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist

Halo semuanya,

[REVIEW] Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser

Hello, HAPPY NEW YEAR all.
My first post of 2019 will be about Althea products. You guys know Althea right? The korean beauty e-commerce, they now produce their own products and the newest is Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser (skincare) and Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist (fragrance). The Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist is a collaboration with Indonesian actress, Titi Kamal.

Altha Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser
The Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser combines the power of a cleanser and serum all in one, working to deep cleanse the skin while ensuring it’s moisturized and supple to the touch. Its serum-like formula also helps to balance the pH levels, leading to a healthy skin environment for a clear complexion. Its star ingredients are mint extract (to purify the pores) and jojoba oil (to moisturize without feeling heavy) to whisk away dead skin cells, dirt and oil without dehydrating the skin. (source: altheablog)

I was honestly confused with this cleanser, but reading from the instruction said to remove makeup I just need to massage the product all over (like you do with cleansing oil) and rinse it off, you can continue using second cleanser to completely remove any residue. And if you want to just cleanse the skin, damp you skin and massage the product all over and rinse it off. I once tried using this as a first cleanser but I felt something not right and I did cleanse once again with my usual cleansing oil hahaha

You can see the cleanser is colorless and its texture is watery, it does have a mild scent. Packed in a blue-greenish sleek plastic bottle, I wish they pack it in a pump bottle to make it easier. The cleanser is neither light nor heavy, but still has its viscosity that reminds you of a serum (probably that's why they name it serum cleanser!). I don't know if it's true because of this cleanser, but after using this I notice some clogged pores coming. I should try longer to check it out but since my skin lately a bit acting up, I don't think I should try again near this time :( But it does a great job in removing residues without feeling heavy or filmy

Ingredients?
Water, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Cyclomethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Citric Acid, Hydroxyacetophenone, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Butylene Glycol, Fragrance

Size? 150 ml
Price? Rp 120.000
