Hi! I finally come back with an "acne" post and my honest review on the product.

You guys may already knew from reading the title, yes, I'm going to review one of the newest product from Benton @bentoncosmetic, Tea Tree Cleansing Water.

Benton provided me the product in exchange with my honest review, the review is not influenced by the brand, but again YMMV. Make sure you do test patch before using any new products.

Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water is infused with Tea Tree Leaf Water and Tea Tree Leaf Oil which are made in Korea. The cleansing water gives a refreshing and calming effect on tired skin while mildly cleansing. Also, the product revitalises irritated, stressed-out skin with redness. Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water is a naturally-derived mild cleansing water designed to combine cleansing and tea tree treatment in order to ease the inconvenience of those who separately wash their faces with tea tree essential oil-diluted water. How to Use?

1. Use the cleansing water as a makeup remover or a morning cleanser. Wet a cotton pad with the product and gently wipe the entire face.

2. Place the wet cotton pad for a while on the parts that need thorough cleansing and gently wipe. (Using an eye makeup remover is recommended to erase eye makeup.)

REVIEW

This I show you some makeup products I swatched on my hand to test out the Benton cleansing water. HOHOHO sorry for my big face LOL. Yes this is what it looks like, in my opinion the cleansing water is great. Although maybe it still left a little residue of the Son&Park lip tint, but it does really really great. Wiping off the lip products are somehow hard, the Mizzu lip cream has a matte finish but this cleansing water can wipe it off, it's cool right?

Start from the packaging, I like how minimal and clean the bottle looks. It comes in size 200 ml so I think it's big enough. This cleansing water has a smell that is not too strong and I personally don't bother it. I also tested the cleansing water to remove my skincare and oil residue during the day and it also does a great job! Benton's naturally derived mild cleansing water is a YES for me, because of its high content of ingredients derived from tea tree, I'm sure that this product will deliver good things to my skin. I feel refreshed and this is suitable for oily and acne-prone skin too, so DOUBLE YES for me. Ah and it doesn't leave any sticky feeling too!

I'll definitely buy if I ran out of this! It's perfect for a quick "refreshing" touch up during the day or a quick cleansing method during the lazy day hahahaha. But I usually triple cleanse by using this cleansing water, cleansing oil, then cleansing foam afterwards. If you have sensitive skin, make sure you do test patch before using but I'm a bit sensitive and I'm totally fine with this.

MY ACNE STORY PART 2// Current Skincare Routine❤ (My skin now is much more stable than before!)

Hi, I'm back with the Part 2. Have you read the Part 1? If you haven't, head over to MY ACNE STORY PART 1 👈👈

On my last part, I did share some tips that worked really well changing my whole skin conditions. But all those tips also need support from the skincare routine we use everyday. Before I finally use "Minimal Skincare" routine daily, I used to buy new and change skincare products very often just because I want to fill in the 10 Step Korean Skincare routine. Today I'll be sharing what products work for me in my "Minimal Skincare" routine. Happy reading :) 

First I wanna show you how my before after photos. Anyway I know my face hasn't cleared, but I see improvement at least after using minimal skincare routine and changing my life habit (My skin change after I do this!)

I am still getting acne till now. yes 25th February, I still have acne. Because of hormones I can't get rid of acne but I guess I have a way to minimize the damage of acne or hasten the "inflamation" period. As you can see the previous PIH has gone. Anyway on the after photo, I took it after I wore a Leejiham a.k.a Leegeeham Vita Propolis Sheet Mask (such a great mask and make your skin glowing) and put on the Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel afterwards.

PRODUCTS I USE

MY MINIMAL SKINCARE ROUTINE

Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner

What it is?

They put minimal ingredients that's the point!

Performance

Because of its minimal ingredients they are less irritant to the skin. My skin is combination type so I find this is okay not too heavy nor too dry, but for drier skin you will find this is not hydrating as you need. This will be more suitable for combination to oily skin since it also feels lightweight it won't create greasy feeling. It has no scent so it's good for sensitive skin. Because of its name "mist toner", the texture is really watery, you can either use it as a hydrating toner or a mist to refresh your face. 

In my case, I once experienced a super sensitive skin because of peeling, even Klairs toner felt poignant when touching my skin but Pyunkang Yul did not. It feels refreshing. Now I'm on my second bottle, I haven't found any toner which not make me feel poignant even when my skin becomes super sensitive.

Rating : 4/5 (Lighweight yet hydrating for summer season, I'll keep using it until I find another great toner for sensitive skin!)

Performance

I actually have an on-off relationship with this toner just because sometimes I feel this toner's effect come and go hahahaha I mean in some conditions I can feel this toner works wonder, but other times I feel this is just a regular toner that not really impress me. Well it's my personal experience, but I read so many people love this toner! This toner is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. The texture is not too watery and this is a good toner for layering. Have you heard about 7 Skin Methods? This will instantly boost your moisture and hydration (approved by me!) when you feel like you need hydration, you can go for this. This toner also contains good ingredients for soothing and calming the skin. 

Rating : 4/5 (Overall this toner is great for layering and quench your skin!)

 Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel

What it is?

Performance

This is one of my fave aloe gel! It does not contain alcohol so maybe it won't work effectively like Nature Republic, but if your skin doesn't tolerate alcohol, maybe this is for you. Beside its main ingredient, aloe, which is good for soothing and moisturizing skin, it also contains propolis as an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties so it's good for acne skin. I find this gel helps me to calm my skin and also soothes when my skin becomes sensitive. It sinks fast and doesn't leave any sticky feeling and if I use it overnight, the next morning I find my skin is not oily at all. This gel has no scent and no colour, coming in this green tube which make it easy and convenient to dispense. Ah! Not forget to mention, it's great for sunburnt too!

Rating : 4/5 (Well, I'm choosing this because it 2 in1 products; aloe & propolis which my skin loves it so much)

Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream

Performance

Well first of all, this cream does the job to moisturize the skin and keep the skin in moisture state so it won't dry during my normal skin condition day. But if my skin needs extra moisture, I don't know I notice sometimes this cream doesn't give me that moisture I'm looking for. But again, sometimes after using sheet masks with all the essences, I want to lock them up following with moisturizer, I find this cream doesn't absorb well to my skin. It feels like they are sitting on top of my skin and leaving a "heavy" feeling. Maybe like it is stated, it will be more suitable for normal to dry skin. 

But you maybe come to this cream if you are looking for hypoallergenic and non artificial fragrance nor colour cream. This can be used even for sensitive and children! The cream comes with blue packaging which really define their brand, Pyunkang Yul, made of glass jar making it's a bit risky for travelling.

Rating : 3/5 (To be honest this cream doesn't meet my expectation, maybe not for me)

Lion Acne Pair Cream

What it is?

" A topical medication that helps treat acne that has caused inflammation and redness. " - source: lion.co.jp

Volume : 240 ml

Ingredients

Isopropyl Methylphenol, Stearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Disodium Edetate, Paraben, Diisopropanolamine, Octyldodecanol, 1,3 Butylene Glycol, Carboxy Vinyl Polymer, Fragrance, Ibuprofen Piconol

It does contain Paraben, if you're afraid of Paraben then don't use it. I personally don't mind it. There's so much pro and contra about Paraben, you can read the details online.

Performance

I think this is the mildest acne spot treatment ever, it feels like using regular cream like moisturizer because of its texture and there's no "itchy/poignant" feeling even when your acne is really inflammed. At first I thought this cream was not working because there was no improvement, but then I realized every time I use this cream my acne heals really fast and does not leave scars. I'm now on my second bottle and will stock up because this saves my face seriously! It is THAT GOOD on my skin.

Rating : 5/5 (I love this cream so much, it is mildly treat my acne. Amazing.)

I know it's not easy to treat acne or gain confident because of acne, both are very hard things to do, at least for me. I struggle a lot with acne and find myself unconfident with my bare face because of acne (this is my first time showing my bare face photos to be honest hahahahaha). Pond's Age Miracle 10th Anniversary

Happy 10th Anniversary Pond's!!

Pond's is one of the existing beauty companies and widely known by the women here in Indonesia. I remembered when I was in Junior High School I used acne care products by Pond's especially the facial wash. At that time I only knew about Pond's because it was so easy to find their products; supermarket, grocery store, mini market etc and their products also wallet-friendly. 

Pond's are producing more products and skincare range from acne to aging. And today we're celebrating their 10th Anniversary of Age Miracle range products! Indonesian well-known singer, Bunga Citra Lestari, is their Brand Ambassador for this range, so she was there today singing some songs and also did a little Q&A about Pond's. [BAHASA INDONESIA] MY ACNE STORY PART 1// 10 Step Korean Skincare to Minimal Skincare Routine❤

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I know I'm late but it's better than never right? I'm so sorry I haven't posted for a while because I'm currently working on my thesis. By the way today's post will be in Bahasa Indonesia ya!

Aku harap post ini bermanfaat untuk para pembaca dari Indonesia. Dari cerita - cerita yang aku tau, banyak yang struggle juga dengan jerawat karena kondisi cuaca di Indonesia atau polusi atau segala faktor lainnya. I feel you guys karena aku juga minder dan malu kalau ketemu orang bare face jerawatan hehehehe.


AWAL MULA KISAH JERAWAT
Yaaaak, jadi para pembaca sekalian sebelum memulai lebih lanjut aku akan cerita sedikit mengenai kondisi kulit aku. I'm combination acne-prone dan oleh karena itu permasalahan utama aku adalah jerawat dan juga bekasnya. Dulu pas awal masuk kuliah kulit aku masih mulus hanya memang bekas jerawat dari SMP masih samar kelihatan. Tapi ketika masuk tahun 2016 tiba - tiba aku mulai jerawatan lagi dan habit jelek aku adalah suka banget pencetin jerawat! Alhasil bekas jerawat makin banyak dan ternyata jerawatnya tumbuh terus gitu.
Tahun 2016 itu juga tahun dimana 10 Step Korean Skincare lagi mulai trend dan booming banget, sebelum puncak boomingnya aku mulai cari - cari obat jerawat dan ketemulah dengan produk COSRX. Waktu itu yang jual COSRX masih sedikit banget dan aku dikasih tau yang jual untuk coba COSRX BHA Returning A-Sol tapi merasa ga ngefek dan emang dasar orangnya penasaran, aku cari lagi tuh COSRX Centella Blemish Cream dan segala jenis produk dari COSRX yang katanya bagus banget buat jerawat. Terus sebelumnya memang aku ga pakai produk macem - macem, jadi pas jamannya 10 Step Korean Skincare booming langsung beli produk supaya bisa jadi lengkap 10 Step Korean Skincare rutinnya! (Kemakan iklan banget ga sih LOL). Singkat cerita tapi 2 produk COSRX yang aku sebut di atas tidak cocok di kulitku.

Sayangnya waktu itu pengetahuanku minim, jadi hanya murni modal nekat coba - coba + ilmu minim aja, tapi untungnya aku orangnya cukup konsisten, ga bosenan gitu selama masa percobaan pakai produk, padahal bisa makan waktu 20 menitan cuma buat skincare rutin itu. Naaaaah, setelah nyoba berbagai macam produk jerawat ini tetep ga ilang kaya occasional breakouts gitu jadi hari ini ilang eh 2 hari lagi bisa nongol. Waktu itu aku mikir "gila dalam 30 hari gue bisa ngerasain punya kulit bebas jerawat cuma 1 hari doang masa gitu sih". Tapi waktu itu aku pikir memang produknya aja yang ga cocok atau nyoba produknya dalam jangka waktu yang terlalu sebentar. Akhirnya aku tetep terusin sampai akhir tahun 2016.

Sampailah ke suatu saat di 2017, pipi aku mulai nongol jerawat (FYI, sebelum muncul di pipi, jerawatku cuma sebatas di jidat aja. Pipi dan daguku bersih mulusssshhhh beneran ga pernah ada jerawat sama sekali). Pas nongol satu, tau - tau kaya nyebar, satu baik eh ada lagi di pipi juga dan seterusnya. Akhirnya mamaku bilang "Tuh gara - gara nyoba banyak - banyak sih jadinya pipi sekarang jerawatan juga" tapi aku juga bingung mau bilang apa karena aku ga tau kenapa kok sekarang malah pipi juga jerawatan dan jerawatnya itu bruntusan + ada yang ga bermata gitu. Tadinya baik - baik aja taunya jadi bruntusan pasti kaget dong dan mau tau penyebabnya (walaupun pada akhirnya tetep ga nyadar sih penyebabnya apa hahaha). Nah tapi di tahun 2017 ini Youtuber Liah Yoo mulai buat topik Minimal Skincare Routine. Tadinya aku takut coba, aku pikir masa kulit yang udah dikasih supply nutrisi banyak tiba - tiba disuruh diet, karena kalau cut off skincare gitu takutnya jadi ga optimal dan sebagainya. Tapi setelah mikir lagi ga ada salahnya coba, dan baca orang banyak yang efek juga untuk jerawat dengan skincare diet, akhirnya pelan - pelan aku mulai kurangin produk yang aku pakai, hingga sekarang aku cuma pakai 3 STEP AJA!!

CARA MENGATASI
3 step mencakup (Toner - Serum - Cream) kalau siang ya ditambah sunblock dan eye cream. Kalau malam ditambah obat totol jerawatnya. Sebelum bahas produknya lebih detail, aku selesaiin dulu ceritanya ya. Setelah 2 tahun lebih ganti produk sana sini googling dan baca review, akhir tahun 2017 kemarin kulitku mulai stabil, jerawat semakin jarang datang dan aku mulai bisa merasakan berhari - hari my skin in a good state. Aku mau bagi tips apa aja sih yang perlu diperhatikan?
1. Perbaiki pola makan minum
2. Perbaiki pola tidur
3. Perhatikan produk yang dipakai

Ini ga cuma sekedar wacana, tapi ini beneran ngefek banget ke kulit. Aku soalnya pernah nge-test, waktu lagi seringnya minum kopi susu, bisa jerawatan lagi. Terus pas lagi tidurnya rada malam selama berhari - hari, muncul jerawat lagi. Jadi semua memang harus imbang gitu ga boleh terlalu berlebihan, akhirnya aku siasatin dengan minum jus dan teh hijau setiap hari. Kalian tau kan teh hijau punya anti oksidan? Nah dari anti oksidan si teh hijau ini yang bagus untuk kulit. Setelah aku mulai rajin minum teh hijau setiap hari dan minimal skincare rutin akhirnya aku lihat mulai ada imrpovement. By the way, teh hijaunya bebas merk apa saja ya, cuma aku minum yang merknya tulisan jepang, kalau di supermarket sekitar Rp 100.000an untuk 100 pcs.

Selanjutnya setelah makan minum udah oke, perbaiki pola tidur. Jangan terlalu malam kalau tidur karena malam adalah waktunya kulit bekerja regenerasi dan sebagainya, kalau kita tidur terlalu malam kulit jadi ga optimal kerjanya. Terus pastikan sering ganti sarung bantal ya, atau kalau repot ganti, aku pakai tissue untuk lapis jadi kulit muka ga langsung kena ke sarung bantal tapi ke tissue yang setiap malamnya diganti. Aku pakai tissue merk Plenty, enak banget tebal dan ga mudah sobek.

Yang terakhir adalah perhatikan produk yang dipakai terutama ingredientsnya! Ga semua orang pasti cocok dengan produk yang ampuh untuk aku dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Pastikan kalau coba produk baru patch test dulu yaa, walaupun kalau sampai ga cocok nyesek banget sih hahahaha. Selain itu juga double cleansing jangan sampai lupa ataupun malas!! Yang penting adalah kulit yang bersih dulu baru segala skincare bisa bekerja dengan baik, kalau base-nya aja kotor gimana hasilnya. Double cleansing bisa dengan macam - macam produk tergantung kebutuhan dan kecocokan kulit kalian ya.
