[REVIEW] Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water

Hi! I finally come back with an "acne" post and my honest review on the product.
You guys may already knew from reading the title, yes, I'm going to review one of the newest product from Benton @bentoncosmetic, Tea Tree Cleansing Water.
Benton provided me the product in exchange with my honest review, the review is not influenced by the brand, but again YMMV. Make sure you do test patch before using any new products.

Company Profile?

'Benton' is inspired by and named after the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" in which Benjamin Button grows younger with time. In the movie, Benjamin has no choice but to leave his love, Daisy as he becomes younger. What if Daisy could also turn back time on her physical appearance, wouldn't she be happier? It may just be a fictional movie, but wouldn't most people have the same desire to be young again? Benton desires to restore your skin back to its original, healthy condition with healthy recipes, rather than to give temporary effects with harmful ingredients. Also, Benton presents freshly made products by sticking to small batch production.

What it is?

Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water is infused with Tea Tree Leaf Water and Tea Tree Leaf Oil which are made in Korea. The cleansing water gives a refreshing and calming effect on tired skin while mildly cleansing. Also, the product revitalises irritated, stressed-out skin with redness. Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water is a naturally-derived mild cleansing water designed to combine cleansing and tea tree treatment in order to ease the inconvenience of those who separately wash their faces with tea tree essential oil-diluted water. The product has only 10 clean ingredients free of PEGs, Sulfates, Fragrances, and Colorant, which is a less burden on the skin. The cleansing water leaves skin clear and smooth. Present a restful cleansing to your precious skin with Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water.

Ingredients?

Tea Tree Leaf
(Having long been used as various folk remedies among Australian natives, tea tree leaf has been used as infection treatment for having antibacterial effect. Also tea tree leaf has skin calming and deodorising properties. Tea tree has many benefits on skin, including skin soothing, hydrating, astringent, and anti-blemish effects.

EWG* Hazard Score of all ingredients

(The numbers in the blue brackets are the EWG hazard scores. EWG hazard score is the 'degree of risk' suggested by EWG/ Environmental Working Group- American non profit organization aiming to reduce the use of harmful chemicals.)

Volume: 200 ml

Recommended for?

- Skin tired from impurities and external stressors
- Oily and acne-prone skin
- Skin that wants a naturally-derived cleansing water
- Delicate skin afraid of strong 100% tea tree oil
- Angry skin from heavy makeup
- Skin with a water-oil imbalance

How to Use?

1. Use the cleansing water as a makeup remover or a morning cleanser. Wet a cotton pad with the product and gently wipe the entire face.
2. Place the wet cotton pad for a while on the parts that need thorough cleansing and gently wipe. (Using an eye makeup remover is recommended to erase eye makeup.)

REVIEW

This I show you some makeup products I swatched on my hand to test out the Benton cleansing water. These are the products I used, from L-R: BLP Caramel Champagne, Mizzu Valipcious in shade Bliss 711, Colourpop Eyeshadow Double Entendre in shade Nekkid, NYC Eyeshadow Lovatics by ParDemi in shade 8, Kat Von D Lipstick in shade Mercy, Son&Park Lip Tint Cube 01 Rubian Red, LA Girl Endless Semi-Permanent Auto Eyeliner in shade Teal, 3CE Super Slim Pen Eyeliner in black, Colourpop No Filter Concealer in shade 15 Light Neutral, Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in shade Flitter.

There's a little residue left by Son&Park Lip Tint Cube and 3CE Eyeliner

HOHOHO sorry for my big face LOL. Yes this is what it looks like, in my opinion the cleansing water is great. Although maybe it still left a little residue of the Son&Park lip tint, but it does really really great. Wiping off the lip products are somehow hard, the Mizzu lip cream has a matte finish but this cleansing water can wipe it off, it's cool right?

Start from the packaging, I like how minimal and clean the bottle looks. It comes in size 200 ml so I think it's big enough. This cleansing water has a smell that is not too strong and I personally don't bother it. I also tested the cleansing water to remove my skincare and oil residue during the day and it also does a great job! Benton's naturally derived mild cleansing water is a YES for me, because of its high content of ingredients derived from tea tree, I'm sure that this product will deliver good things to my skin. I feel refreshed and this is suitable for oily and acne-prone skin too, so DOUBLE YES for me. Ah and it doesn't leave any sticky feeling too!

I'll definitely buy if I ran out of this! It's perfect for a quick "refreshing" touch up during the day or a quick cleansing method during the lazy day hahahaha. But I usually triple cleanse by using this cleansing water, cleansing oil, then cleansing foam afterwards. If you have sensitive skin, make sure you do test patch before using but I'm a bit sensitive and I'm totally fine with this.

Are you interested in trying Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water? If you have any questions just leave some on the comment section below, I'll try my best to answer based on my experience! YMMV.

  14. I like this cleansing water a lot, it's bit sad that pH is 6 not 5,5 but it's not a problem for me, it's still ok if it's 6, 6 and half would be bad but 6 - I can stand it since I used double cleansing after. It's a really good product and it's not a surprise since Benton is a good brand :)
